bailemo lists salsa, bachata, kizomba, Cuban salsa, rueda and urban kiz socials, parties, one-off workshops and festivals happening across Edinburgh. New events are added by local organisers every week. If you know of an event that we haven't listed, use the submit feature or give us a shout.

Do I need a partner to go to a Latin dance social in Edinburgh?

No. Edinburgh socials rotate partners throughout the night and welcome solo dancers. Most events also run a beginner taster class beforehand so you can arrive on your own and learn enough to join in.

I'm a complete beginner. Can I still go to an event?

Yes. Going to events as a beginner is an awesome thing to do. If you are a complete beginner, many events run classes prior to the social, enabling you to learn before socialising. How much do events usually cost?

Weekly socials in Edinburgh typically cost £5 – £10 on the door, with class-plus-social bundles around £10 – £15. Bigger parties, festivals and workshops vary but here at bailemo we show all pricing transparently so you never have to guess.

How do I know if an event has been cancelled?

Cancelled events stay visible on bailemo but are clearly marked as cancelled and pushed to the bottom of the list, so you'll never turn up to a venue that's no longer running the night.
