Do I need a partner to start salsa in Edinburgh?

No - the vast majority of salsa classes and socials in Edinburgh rotate partners throughout the night, so you can turn up on your own and dance with plenty of people. Most beginner classes specifically expect solo dancers. Although, if you do have a partner, it's a brilliant thing to do together.

How long does it take to learn salsa?

Most people feel comfortable on a beginner social floor within 4 to 8 weeks of weekly classes. Becoming a confident intermediate dancer usually takes 6 to 12 months of regular practice and social dancing.

What should I wear to a salsa class or social in Edinburgh?
